In addition to the must-see action of the top three draft picks, there are a few other Summer League performances worth mentioning as well.
- Sacramento rookie De’Aaron Fox tantalized Kings’ fans with 18 points, a handful of steals, and four assists in an encouraging loss to the Suns.
- A pair of Clippers rookies inspired fans of LA’s other team as Brice Johnson and Sindarius Thornwell (best name in the league if he sticks) impressed in a win over the Lonzo Ball led Lakers.
- The Celtics discovered yet another reason to pine for the for the future as second-year small forward Jaylen Brown turned in a dominant performance with 29 points in an early victory over the Sixers.
Will any of these remarkable performances mean anything come December? Who knows, right? But it’s sure a lot of fun to consider in the meantime.
