I’ve never been a fan of the Brooklyn Nets hiring of Jason Kidd. Especially once the Nets acquired Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. A rookie head coach with NO assistant coaching experience, saddle with a team with no clear identity. Just seemed like a recipe for disaster. But, I was cool with taking a wait and see approach.
Two weeks into the season an anonymous NBA scout has said Jason Kidd doesn’t do anything on the bench. That the actual coaching aspect of his job has been left to the Assistant Coaches.
The team recently held a players only meeting following a loss to the Portland Trailblazers on Monday. The Nets are currently 3-7. When Jason left the bench in summer league to take a cell call, that should’ve given everyone a preview what to expect of him this season.
