I swear there has to be pheromones pumping thorough Staples Center. The 2nd Laker within a week has proposed to his famous girlfriend. Sasha Vujacic has asked tennis star Maria Sharapova to become Mrs. Vujacic.
“The Machine” proposed on the one-year anniversary of their first meeting at a friend’s barbecue. Sasha said he wanted to keep details of how he proposed private but added, “It’s was probably old school, I had to do it like a gentlemen.” “It’s good and now we can focus on other things.”
Sasha is currently in the last year of his contract with the Lakers while Maria is the highest earner in women’s sports. She recently signed a deal for $70 million with Nike that runs through 2017. She has endorsements with Canon, Land Rover, Tag Heuer, and Tropicana orange juice. She’s also the owner of three tennis Grand Slam titles. While Sasha of course will be earning his 3rd NBA Championship with the Lakers in June. (See what I did there)
