If you were one of the hundreds (maybe thousands) that order a pair of Lonzo Ball‘s first Big Baller Brand shoe the ZO2, don’t expect what you ordered to show up. Triple B has flipped the design of the shoe scheduled for a November release.
Details on the remix and a new refund policy that previously wasn’t an option via SLAM:
Those who already pre-ordered the original ZO2 Primes can expect this “remix” version to still arrive by the original November shipping date. The Showtime edition and the “Independence Day” colorways will also be converted into this new silhouette and shipping dates for pre-orders of those will also remain the same. There is a refund option for those who pre-ordered the original ZO2 shoe and would rather not receive the newer version.
Lonzo hadn’t worn the original ZO2s since July 8, game 2 of Summer League. What Zo did do was wear a mix of other footwear brands, leading some to assume that the quality of the shoe was lacking. Zo has reportedly been wear-testing this new version for the last two months.
The change reportedly comes as Triple B has found a new manufacturer for the Zo2, BrandBlack. Some are claiming the new design is essentially their Future Legend model with an insane mark up.
Will you support the new ZO2?
