Kobe Bryant says his Team USA basketball teammates can’t teach him anything

You can always count on Kobe Bryant to provide a great soundbite. The elder statesman of TEAM USA basketball, Bryant was asked on Wednesday following a 20 point half by him how it feels to be the “old guy.” Typical Bryant retort:

Asked what it’s like to be the old guy on the team, Bryant said, “I’m where everybody wants to get to. I just happen to be still playing.”

“Can you learn anything from these young guys?” he was asked.

Bryant: “No.”

“You know everything?”

Bryant: “I don’t know if I know it all, but I know more than they do.”

I am a believer that there is always more to learn. Kobe however feels that after 16 seasons in the NBA, 7 finals appearances, 5 rings,  marriage,  half-way divorce and a $4 million dollar ring, he has this NBA jock thing down.
