Jeremy Lin’s fairytale season with the New York Knicks has come to an end. Lin had an MRI that revealed a small chronic tear in the meniscus of his left knee. Surgery is required and the recovery time is six weeks. This season, Lin averaged 14 points and 6 assists after catapulting from end of the bench to the top sports story on Sports Center.
Baron Davis will start in Lin’s place. The Knicks are currently sitting in the eighth spot in the east that would give them the pleasure of facing the Chicago Bulls in the first round. Chicago leads the season series 2-0.
