Hollywood Drama Laker style

Lots of things bubbling in the land of the Lakers right now. Following Sunday’s embarrassing loss to the Celtics, the Lakers beat Houston in overtime last night, 114-106.

A key motivating factor in the victory was said to be the words of encouragement that Kobe gave to Pau inspired by the Academy Award nominated film, Black Swan.

“Even when he was in Memphis and he was the go-to guy, he was always very nice,” Kobe Bryant said of Gasol. “Very white swan. I need him to be black swan. Be an (expletive) sometimes.”

I won’t ruin the film for you but if you are familiar with the ballet Swan Lake, you can decipher this motivational “push” Kobe gave Pau… I guess

Meanwhile, Ron Artest is being RON again. A source has stated that Ron would like to be traded. He feels he takes the brunt of criticism when things aren’t going right and he’s not having fun anymore.

Whatever Ron, suck it up and play. Everybody feels the heat. That’s part of playing for a champion.  Ron is on season 2 of a 5 year deal. It is important to note that Ron is having career LOW numbers this year. Maybe they should grant his wish

**UPDATE**

Ron’s agent, David Bauman has come out to dispute the report that Ron is seeking a trade:

“Ron is not looking for a trade, The frustration is there among everyone on the team. But Ron is a Laker, and he just wants to win. Ron is frustrated with the losing, as everybody is.”

Like sands through the hour glass, these are the days of Lakerdom- that’s an old Soap opera reference, I think Days of our Lives
