The Memphis Grizzlies sent the Portland Trailblazers on vacation Wednesday night, wrapping up the first round series 4 – 1. The Grizz’s postseason plans will have to slightly adjusted however, as they will be out the services of point guard, Mike Conley Jr. for awhile.

Mike Conley took in accidental elbow to the face the third quarter of Game 3 from Blazers CJ McCollum. Conley underwent surgery Monday to repair multiple facial fractures – including having plates inserted into his face around his left eye- missing Games 4 and 5.

Conley gave an update to his status with interview on TNT with Lewis Johnson during the first quarter of Wednesday night’s Game 5 at FedEx Forum.

Following the Grizz’s win, CJ – who was booed mercilessly at the Grindhouse – checked in on Conley.

CJ had a career night for the Blazers, scoring a team high 30 points. Too little, too late for this season, but with a Blazers team that has several key pieces entering free agency this summer, a plus for the Blazers organization.
