Former NFL Great Jim Brown Says LeBron Should Get A Public Apology From Cavs Owner Dan Gilbert

Jim Brown is one of Cleveland’s most beloved sports figures and a legend. Brown has a message for LeBron James should he decide to return to his home state and play for the Cavaliers again, make Dan Gilbert publicly apologize for his 2010 rant.

“The only way I would say that (James should return) is if he and Mr. Gilbert came to some greater understanding because I did not like the way that Mr. Gilbert portrayed him,’’ Brown said in a phone interview Monday with the Pioneer Press. “(For James to return), there’s got to be a public apology made by the owner. I don’t see it any other way.’’

Brown was asked if James should return to the Cavaliers without a public apology.

“Hell no,’’ Brown said.

Does Brown have a point? Could you return to work for a man that once referred to you as “cowardly?”
