The Thunder took on the Sacramento Kings Thursday night in Sac. The Kings are a young athletic team still trying to find identity. The firing of former head coach Paul Westphal seemed to do a lot of team moral especially for the teams talented but at times immature star, DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins. Hyped for the teams only national televised appearance this season, the Kings stopped their six-game slide and beat the Thunder, 106-101.
But of course, the Thunder have a young-veteran athletic squad (oxymoron, perhaps but still true) so you know there were pleanty of exciting plays. Russell Westbrook had a sweet dunk at the end of the first half.
I liked what I saw from the Kings. They’d be well served to find a way to get a few veteran players on that bench.
