Injuries are apart of the game but two teams just hit a rough patch with two players out suffering a broken hand injury. First up, Clippers guard JJ Redick is out 6-8 weeks after a fracture in the small bone (pisiform) of his right hand and, a tear of his right ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in the second quarter of the Clippers 104-98 win over Sacramento on Nov. 29.
This was the same game that DeMarcus Cousins refused to shake Redick’s hand.
Another Western Conference team will be without their star. New Orleans Pelicans sophomore star Anthony Davis is out indefinitely after he fractured his left hand.
The Pelicans beat the Knicks, 103-99 handing New York their ninth straight loss. I guess the power of positive thinking hasn’t kicked in for them yet.
