Andrew Bynum not expected to make debut with Sixers until January

Looks like you’re going to have to wait a little while longer for Andrew Bynum’s official debut as a Sixer. Bynum’s table to return to on-court action has been pushed back until December because of a bone bruise on his right knee. The time table is as follows:

Bynum has been cleared to “immediately resume low-impact exercise,” which means he’ll remain on ice until “approximately December 10.” From there, he’ll need “an additional 1-4 weeks for conditioning, training and practice” before being fully ready for live action.

At that point, Bynum will have been away from basketball about two months. Placing his likliy return in January. Perhaps he’ll chose New Year’s Day as his comeback game which also happens to be the date the Lakers and Sixers face off at Staples Center. At that point, Bynum will have missed the Sixers first 31 games. Bynum is a free agent at the end of the season, considering his history with injuries you have to think a max deal isn’t likely.

Meanwhile, the Sixers current record is 4-2 and most recently won 3 straight on the road against the Raptors, Hornets and Celtics.
