Amar’e Stoudemire let it be known months ago that basketball wasn’t the only thing on his mind when he selected New York as his free agent destination last summer. In the April issue of Vogue (which was NOT a cover as previously suggested) Amar’e discusses what makes him feel “rich”, his daily routine and how he feels putting on his game uniform:
His daily routine:
Breakfast is followed by a rigorous assessment. “You let them know what’s hurting, what’s not hurting, after a long week of games, you’ll have a lot of bumps and bruises, and you can be extremely sore at times,” Amar’e continues, “so they’ll massage it out.” This routine is followed by time in the weight room and a warm-up of bikes, balance pad, and lunges. “Then you get into your heavier lifts,” says Amar’e. “You start lifting 300 pounds. With legs.” My stomach begins to curdle. “Then it starts to get a little hectic and hard. There’s a lot of maintenance.” Practice can then run to two hours.
What makes him feel rich:
Fashion that makes him feel “rich.” “When you put your fashion on — you know, your tailor-made suits or bow ties and fedoras — you feel like you’re swagger. You feel elegant and rich.” In addition to those, Stoudemire has already indulged in a Maybach 62S, a Bentley convertible and a $37,500-a-month penthouse apartment in the Meatpacking District, complete with a recording studio and barber shop
Me too Amar’e well that and having money in the bank. :giggles:
On how wearing the Knicks uniform makes him feel:
“When you put your uniform on, you feel more dominant, you feel ready to take over.”
The Knicks are currently sitting in the 6th playoff spot in the east which would mean a first round match up against the Miami Heat. Wow for nostalgia!
The playoff are about a month away. Can’t WAIT!!
