Yankees manager Joe Girardi and New York Post reporter had to be separated by security

This has been a strange week for baseball managers and reporters. On Wednesday, Boston Red Sox’s manager Bobby Valentine threatened to punch WEEI’s Glenn Ordway in the mouth during an interview where Ordway asked if Valentine had “checked out” on the remainder of the season.

Fast forward to Saturday and Yankees manager Joe Girardi gets into a shouting match with New York Post reporter Joel Sherman following a loss to the Orioles. At one point security even had to step in and separate the two.
