Oakland A’s pitcher Bartolo Colonhas tests positive for banned substance

More bad news for Bay Area baseball fans. A second player has tested positive for a banned substance. This time it’s Oakland A’s pitcher Bartolo Colonhas.  Much like Melky Cabrera, he’s subject to a 50 game suspension by the  MLB.

Colon underwent PRP treatments in 2011 and similar to a few other players who underwent the procedure, seemed to be experiencing a rejuvenation. However, at 39 years old, and even with the extended careers of older players in baseball, you’d have to say his career is probably over.

Playoffs for the A’s?
