- The San Francisco Giants
When it comes to the Giants in the playoffs, there’s only one real question: how many times will Madison Bumgarner pitch? Madbum is the type of player that can literally win a Series by himself. He is the best post-season pitcher in the League, and maybe the best ever. Bumgarner’s cast around him is good, but not great. The pitching staff is not built like other good teams, but they do have veterans like Jake Peavy and Matt Cain who can win on any given night.
- New York Yankees
Though the Yankees are a bit of a longshot, the have their roster set up to make a World Series run. They have a nice starting rotation led by an elite pitcher, Masahiro Tanaka, followed by three or four other serviceable starters. They have arguably the most intimidating bullpen in baseball with Betances, Miller and Chapman in line to shut things down. Offensively, they have a very solid line up with veteran players that have playoff experience. Many teams will be hoping to avoid the Yankees come playoff time.
