Good things come to those who wait, and looks like Yankees fans finally got what all of baseball has been waiting for…an apology from Alex Rodriguez.
Today, New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez issued a handwritten apology for his past use of performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). In the letter, Rodriguez writes that he accepts “full responsibility for [his] mistakes” but says he’s “ready to put this chapter behind me and play some ball.”
Rodriguez sat out the entire 2014 season, serving a suspension after league officials found “clear and convincing evidence” that the baseball star used banned substances and then tried to impede Major League Baseball’s investigation into his alleged PED use. A-Rod is signed to the Yankees for three more years, and has already personally apologized to team officials.
