A second athlete has been removed from a team following an inappropriate tweet. Swiss soccer player Michel Morganella tweeted “I want to beat up all South Koreans! Bunch of mentally handicapped retards!” following Switzerland’s 2-1 loss to S. Korea.
Immediately realizing the mistake, Morganella then tweeted “I’m sorry for what I just wrote before, it was under the emotions! And I apologize of my behavior.” He then deleted his account but of course, it was too late. The IOC has expelled in from the remainder of the games.
Simple suggestion, text/e-mail a friend… It’s not as costly.
