Serena Williams at only 28 years old wins her 13th Glam Slam title. In 10 of the last 11 finals at Wimbledon at least one of the Williams sisters has been in the finals.
Serena is now ranked 6th career list of major titles. 5 titles behind Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. Margret Court Smith has the record with 24.
Serena credits her serve for this win. Setting a Wimbledon record with 89 aces. She felt her serve was weak during the quarter final of the French Open so she made a point to work on it as soon as she returned home.
