Matt Kemp Officially Signs Extension With Dodgers [Photos]

It’s official, Matt Kemp has signed his 8-year $160 Million dollar extension with the Dodgers. The deal is structured to be new owner friendly with the first payment being $10 Million dollars in 2012. Check the details:

2012, $10 million, of which $2 million is deferred without interest; 2013, $20 million; 2014-15, $21 million per season; 2016-19, $21.5 million per season.

The contract doesn’t feature a no-trade clause but the the hope is that neither side reaches a point where a trade is an option.

I’m feeling his bow tie swag and suit too. He’s cute, ::shrug::
