The Dodgers season has pretty much been a wash but the lone bright spot has been the play of Matt Kemp. My favorite piece of MLB eye candy (sorry guys, I just had to throw that out there) became the newest member of the 30/30 club on Friday night as the Dodgers took on the Colorado Rockies.
Kemp hit his 30th home run of the season to go along with 33 steals becoming only the second Dodger to accomplish this milestone. The first was Raul Mondesi, who did it twice. Once in ’97 and again in ‘99.
Kemp is hitting .323 with 98 RBIs. He’s in the top four in both of those categories plus, top four in home runs and stolen bases.
AND, he’s fine! Salute to Matt Kemp, I think he’s headed for another Golden Glove award
