Kobe Bryant is in the final year of his contract with the Lakers. We know the Black Mamba, Vino, feel free to insert whatever nickname you have for #24 here, is the highest paid in the NBA. Today is the first of the month, which means payday for many. That goes for Kobe too. The way his contract with the Lakers is set up, Kobe receives a balloon payment today of $24,363,044, that’s 80% of this season’s salary.
The other 20% will be spread over the remainder of the 2012-2013 NBA season. Bryant’s total salary, $30,453,805. Makes me want to hit my money dance… only I’m not getting any of that, so what would be the point. ::giggle::
The Lakers can re-sign Kobe next season starting on the low end at $1.4 million all the way up to $32 million.
