President Barack Obama took in some of the March Madness over the weekend. The Commander-in-Chief was in attendance at the Verizon Center in D.C. Saturday to watch the East Regional final between Syracuse and Marquette. While there, the President caught up with Washington, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.  RG3 is recovering from surgery and the President had some advice for him.

According to the Washington Times, President Obama told Griffin to protect himself.

“In a face-to-face meeting during the NCAA men’s basketball tournament East Region final between Syracuse and Marquette, Obama spoke to Griffin about “protecting myself,” Griffin said. Griffin spoke to a reporter as security whisked him, his fiancee and his sister through hordes of camera phone-holding fans out of the arena to street level moments after Syracuse completed its 55-39 victory.

I guess that’s the President’s way of saying don’t push yourself to come back to quickly. RG3 also had a mini-rant on Twitter Sunday evening following the Baylor’s women’s team upset loss to Louisville.
