Boxing has made its return to network television, the overnight ratings show, we’re interested. Premier Boxing Champions debuted Saturday on NBC. The match ups for the evening included Keith Thurman beating Robert “Ghost” Guerrero and a turned down Adrien Broner taking out John Molina Jr.
Last night’s debut of Premier Boxing Champions on NBC posted a 2.53/5 overnight & was highest-rated sporting event from 9-11p ET (2.67).

PBC is the brainchild of boxing promoter Al Haymon. The goal is to bring boxing back in popularity by reintroducing the sport to fans on free network TV.
Looks like boxing is going to be the next flavor of the month. In addition to Premiere Boxing Champions, Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports “Throne Boxing” began airing the first of its series on FoxSports 1.
