Phoenix Mercury star Britney Griner married Tulsa Shock’s Glory Johnson on Friday May 8th in Phoenix.
The two were married in front of 75 guests in an outdoor wedding at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort per PEOPLE. The couples’ first dance was to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”
Griner and Johnson were both arrested two weeks ago following a domestic altercation that took place at their home. Griner has since plead guilty, and will enter a domestic violence education program. Upon completion, the charges will be dropped.
Neither the WNBA, nor the Phoenix Mercury have issued a punishment, but with the heightened sensitivity to domestic issues, you can believe one is coming.
