Boxing legend Hector “Macho ‘ Camacho was shot in Puerto Rico on Tuesday night. Camacho then went into cardiac arrest and doctors aren’t hopeful about his recovery.  There are reports now that the fighter is brain dead. Camacho was hit several times in the face and neck in a drive-by shooting outside of San Juan.

Camacho’s last title bout was a loss in 1997 to then-welterweight champion Oscar De La Hoya. His career record was 79-6-3 (38 KOs)

The driver of the Ford Mustang Camacho was riding in, Adrian Alberto Mojica Moreno, was killed from the drive-by attack.
