Sprite-Slam-Dunk-Contest

The participants have been announced for this year’s Sprite Dunk contest. There are a lot of new faces on board and a few that are guarenteed to bring excitement. Let’s take a look at whose got next and peep what type of fun we should be expecting.

With last year’s winner  Utah Jazz’s Jeremy Evans, Pacers Gerald Green, Terrence Ross,  Knicks rookie – and an urban dunking legend -James White, Clippers Eric Bledsoe and Nuggets’ Kenneth Faried.

Gerald Green is going for win number 2 joining the rare air of multiple dunk contest winners that includes Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Jason Richardson and three time winner Nate Robinson

Let us note that Eric Bledsoe is the only guard in the line up:

James White dunks are stuff that legends are made of. They don’t call him Flight for nothing.

Bonus footage, check out this dunk contest in Russia between Flight and Gerald Green

This year All-Star Saturday night is East vs. West so the final dunk off – cheesy wordplay, maybe. Accurate description, definitely – will have one guy representing each side. We’ll see how that turns out.

And of course, King James continues to tease people.

Personally, I think LeBron is an in game dunker. I don’t know if creative dunks are his forté. And, he really has nothing to gain at this point by doing it. But it would be fun!
