Carmelo Anthony goes off for 62 against Bobcats [video]

Carmelo Anthony has broken the New York Knicks franchise record for most points scored in a regular-season game. Melo put up 62 points and surpassed Kobe Bryant’s 61 point Madison Square Garden explosion to replace him in the record book for the arena . Anthony’s  stat line for the night, 23-35 field goals plus 13 rebounds. And the Knicks get the W, 125-96 over the Charlotte Bobcats.

 

Maybe this will be the defining moment that turns the season around for the Knicks.

His teammates were happy for him. Amaré left this message on his Instagram:

Where were you the night of 1/24/14 when @carmeloanthony broke @MSG scoring record with 62pts. Congrats Melo unreal game. @NBA @Espn. I had the best seat in the house lol. Congrats.
