Super Bowl weekend in Los Angeles brought out all the celebrities for the big game at Sofi Stadium. On Saturday night, Michelob Ultra and Women’s Sports Foundation hosted an exclusive private charity bowling event at Lucky Strike in Hollywood that mirrored its game-day spots, “Superior Bowl,” featuring a who’s who of high profile athletes.
Celebrity bowlers included football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, WNBA star Nneka Ogwumike, The Big Diesel Shaquille O’Neal, actor, rapper Ludacris and more. Providing the musical soundtrack for the evening was DJ D-Nice of Club Quarantine fame. Guests indulged in light bites and cocktails featuring Michelob’s Pure Gold and Ultra Organic Selzer. Multi-Platinum recording artist and actress Saweetie ended the night with a performance that took the audience through some of her hit songs, including “Tap in” and “Back to the streets.”
The three “Superior Bowl” commercials aired during Rams vs. Bengals, featuring a vintage bowling alley staffed by actor Steve Buscemi. Also featured in the spots, Serena Williams, Alex Morgan, Jimmy Butler, Nneka Ogwumike, and Brooks Koepka.
Michelob Ultra recently pledged $100 million to increase the visibility of women in sports. Additionally, the Anheuser-Busch brand has signed a five-year contract with the Women’s Sports Foundation to assist female athletes vying to participate in elite competitions, adding a cause marketing component to the star-studded campaign.
