Eminem has always been unafraid to say some crazy stuff in his rhymes. The rapper’s lyrics have always been controversial, at times going after his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian and several instances of imagery relating to domestic violence.
Monday Em dropped a 19-minute cypher that included Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse and of course himself. Em dropped a few lines in reference to recent NFL headlines involving Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson.
“But I may fight for gay rights, especially if they dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice/ Play nice? Bitch I’ll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance/ ’Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens.”
In a track entitled “Detroit vs Everybody,” Em turns his attention to Adrian Peterson who recently plead No contest to child abuse charges in Texas.
“What’s makin’ you think I need a switch? I’m Adrian Peterson …
When he’s raging and heated and on the way to go beat his kid …
On the track I spank like he just did.”
I never have the urge to ride out to Em songs. I usually listen once for the lyrics and clever word play, and then I’m over it.
