Terrell Owens Sued For Back Child Support… Again

I wonder if Terrell not being signed to a team has anything to do with him falling behind on his child support payments… again. Check the details:

Melanie Paige Smith, in a civil suit filed Aug. 9 in Fulton Superior Court, alleges Owens has not paid child support for the month of August and has said he does not plan to make future payments.

The flamboyant football player was ordered in May 2007 to pay $5,000 per month, according to the suit, which estimated his monthly income at $666,000.

Owens made June and July payments only after being threatened with legal action, the document states.

The 37-year-old Alabama native, who holds or shares several NFL records, is currently a free agent. He last played for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010.

Smith and Owens have a 5-year-old daughter.

You only hope that there was some sort of oversight. Considering he paid in June and July, makes you wonder if the problem is really about something else.
