Steve Nash’s ex-wife Alejandra gets appellate court victory for more child support

Athletes and Divorce. There have been some pretty nasty ones as of late. Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Funches, Deion and Pilar Sanders, Kris and Anna Benson, Allen and Tawanna Iverson, the list goes on and on. It appears the tide has switched and marrying or having a child by a professional athlete does not necessarily guarantee a platinum paved walk of victory in red-bottomed Louboutins.

But Steve Nash’s ex-wife Alejandra Nash just scored a victory in An Arizona appellate court . Alejandra has attempted to get the amount of child support awarded to her raised. The Court of Appeals panel ruled on Tuesday that

“ A judge must consider ordering Nash to pay more than the children’s basic needs.”  And, that the two must refrain from speaking badly about each other in social media.”

But as far as Alejandra’s alleged ultimate goal, moving to L.A., that’s still on hold. Nash believes she’s simply trying to get to LA to get more money out of him, not so that he can be closer to his three children as she’s claimed.

The couple divorced in 2011. Nash has one-year left on his contract after the upcoming 13-14 season with the Lakers.
