Ronda Rousey To Star In “Road House” Remake

Ronda Rousey continues to add to her acting resume. Earlier this year Rousey appeared in the blockbuster films, Furious 7 and Entourage.

Now the word is that Rousey will be starring in an updated version of the 80’s Patrick Swayze film “Road House.” In this version, Rousey would recreate the role of Dalton. A “tough bouncer hired to tame a dirty bar” according to the film’s tagline in 1989.

Other projects lined up for Rousey currently include; staring in her own biopic “My Fight/Your Fight,” “The Athena Project,” and an action film “Mile 22,”

On the financial front, Ronda landed in the number eight spot on Forbes list of highest paid female athletes.  The UFC bantamweight champ earned $6.5 million combined in endorsements and purse winnings from June 2014- June 2015. Her endorsement deals include companies like Reebok, Metro PCS, Monster headphones, Buffalo David Bitton and Carl’s Jr.
