Ron Artest Is Changing His Name To Metta World Peace?

Ron Artest is about the closest this generation has had to a Dennis Rodman type persona in the NBA. To say that he’s “different” is an understatement.

Artest has filed a petition in L.A. County Superior Court to change his name to — Metta World Peace.

But why??

I guess because he can. I wonder if he’s actually going to make an appearance on Basketball Wives: L.A.? If so, with tweets like these, I’m sure he and his wife will be entertaining.
