Ron Artest Embarks On 4-City Comedy Tour

Ron Artest AKA Metta World Peace made his comedy debut this weekend (Last summer it was music, this summer it’s comedy, I guess entertainment is in his blood) at the Hollywood Improv.

When asked about his foray into comedy (he’s hosting a 4-city tour) “Metta” responded with:

“I always embarrass myself, anyway, so what’s the big deal?” he said. “So I’ll be booed. Awesome. How many people have a chance to get booed. I want to get booed.

To be fair, Ron is actually hosting the tour and doing introductions for the three ACTUAL comedians on the tour but he does have a no-holds-barred Q & A session. Some of the questions asked:

Question: Can you teach a white dude to dunk?

Artest: “I can’t dunk anymore. I missed a layup in the playoffs.”

Question: What did you learn from the brawl in Detroit?

Artest: “I didn’t learn s***. I just smacked [J.J.] Barea and f****** got suspended. That’s why I changed my name to Metta. Next year, there will be peace.”

At least he’s honest! He has a little free time until this lockout situation is sorted, it’s only 4 cities, why not! As far as who the other comedians are on the tour, looks like it’s surprise upon arrival but let’s face it, you only REALLY care about Ron’s brand of funny! For you east coast fans, he’ss be appearing at Caroline’s on Friday, July 15th.
