Lovie Simone Talks New Role in “The Craft Legacy”

Jill Munroe talked with “The Craft: Legacy” star Lovie Simone about her new role in the film on behalf of EURweb. Simone discussed working on the film, feeling like a witchji and more. Simone’s previous work includes a role on the OWN Network megachurch drama series Greenleaf  and a breakout role in the Sundance film festival hit Selah and The Spades.

In Blumhouse’s continuation of the 1996 cult hit “The Craft,” an eclectic foursome of aspiring teenage witches get more than they bargained for as they lean into their newfound powers.

Written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones, the film also stars Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Zoey Luna, Nicholas Galitzine, with Michelle Monaghan and David Duchovny.

Simone is currently working on the STARZ series Power Book III: Raising Kanan, the second spinoff from the hit crime drama “Power.” A prequel set in the 1990s, the series will chronicle the early years of Kanan Stark, the character first played by executive producer Curtis “50 Cent.”

The cast also features  London Brown (The Hustle,) Malcolm Mays (Snowfall,) Shanley Caswell (NCIS: New Orleans,) Toby Sandeman (The Royals,) Joey Bada$$ (Mr. Robot,) Patina Miller, Mekai Curtis, Omar Epps and Hailey Kilgore. Quincy Brown (Star) also has a recurring role.
