With a flagrant foul, five techs, a kick in the groin, and some social media shade throwing, this wasn’t your typical regular season game.
You would’ve thought it was game 7 and the NBA Championship on the line with all the drama happening last night as the Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Houston Rockets.
Tempers flared throughout the game, with LeBron James and James Harden getting in the mix. James received a technical foul, while Harden was earned a flagrant foul for kicking King James below the belt.
Despite James putting up 37 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks; the NBA superstar missed two critical free throws with only a few seconds remaining and the Cavs down one point. It led to the Rockets beating out the Cavs 105-103 in overtime.
Meanwhile, Harden continued to make his case to be the league’s MVP by posting 33 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the win. But the antics didn’t stop on the court. After the game, King James posted a selfie to Instagram reflecting on the team’s loss, while the Rocket’s twitter account decided proclaim Harden as the new king of the NBA.
