Former NBA forward Anthony Mason has reportedly suffered a heart attack and is battling for his life dealing with complications from congestive heart failure.

Mason, 350 lbs, had heart issue 4 yr. Was on 2d fl of hosp taking test when attack occurred. Surgery was on 3. Very lucky not on 1, I’m told

Mason, 48, spent 13 seasons in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets, Denver Nuggets, Knicks, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks. He won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 1995 with the Knicks and was named an All-Star in 2001 with the Heat.
