Add another exhibition charity game featuring NBA players to your agenda. This one is a little different as it’s for President Obama. A game will be held in D.C. on December 12th with Proceeds going to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising account by the Democratic Party and Obama’s re-election campaign.
Participants include NBA executives as well as players. While being in a lockout forbids contact between players and NBA personnel, the NBA has given the go ahead for this event.
Those listed as participants include:
- Miami Heat forwards Chris Bosh and Juwan Howard, also Heat executive Alonzo Mourning
- New York Knicks forwards Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire
- New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul
- Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and Point guard Russell Westbrook

It’s no secret that the President is a huge hoops fan. I love the idea that kids who may otherwise careless about the upcoming elections or Government are being exposed because their NBA heros are involved with the President.
