Atlanta Hawks Center Al Horford was married on Christmas eve to former Miss Universe, Amelia Vega (representing Al’s native country of the Dominican Republic)
The ceremony was held at the home of the 26-year-old singer’s uncle, an award-winning Dominican singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra.
In 2003, the then 18-year-old Vega became the first Dominican to win the Miss Universe crown. Vega then moved to Miami to open a boutique. In addition to her store, Vega was also a TV host and recently released her first album, “Agua Dulce” (Sweet Water).
Guess JJ Barea can’t be the only one with a Miss Universe as a boo. Congratulations to the happy couple.
