Amar’e Stoudemire Pitching Half-Hour Comedy To Networks

Some guys have spent the lockout criss-crossing across the globe playing basketball. Others like Amar’e Stoudemire are honing their skills in Hollywood.

Earlier in October, New York Knicks star Amare Stoudemire pitched to a handful of major networks a half-hour scripted comedy that he is developing with producers Jeff Kwatinetz and Happy Walters, who is Stoudemire’s agent and president of Rogue Sports, Relativity Media’s sports business.

Happy was a music manager (Eric Sermon, Keith Murry)  and label owner, Immortal Records (Korn, 30 Seconds to Mars) in his previous life. Making these type of deals isn’t new to him. He and Amar’e also produced a Broadway play, Rock of ages last summer.
