Business mogul/ rapper Jay Z continues his support of unemployed NFL QB Colin Kaepernick. Hov performed on the season opener of “Saturday Night Live” and made a statement wearing Colin’s jersey again.
Jay and Damian Marley performed “Bam” from the “4:44” album. It’s the second time in a month that Jay rocked Kap’s jersey. Reportedly Jay turned down performing at the 2018 Super Bowl at least in part because of the apparent blackballing of Colin from the NFL this season.
Justin Timberlake – who Jay had the hit “Suit and Tie” with a few years back- will be the halftime reporter.
That wasn’t the only intersection of sports and pop culture on the night. During the “Weekend Update” segment, Michael Che unloaded on the President Donald Trump NFL controversy and the NBA’s Adam Silver.

The NBA sent out a memo on September 29th outlining methods teams and players could get involved with social causes that does not involve kneeling for the national anthem.
