Former Rocket Sam Cassell To Interview For Rockets Head Coach Position

Looks like a former member of the Rockets Championship squad will be interviewing for the vacant head coach position with the Rockets.

Sam I Am AKA Sam Cassell has been added to the list of candidates to meet with Rockets brass. Cassell just finished up a 2-year stint with the Wizards as an Assistant coach.

Cassell played 15 years in the NBA and won 3 Championships. 2 with the Rockets and one with the Celtics in ’08. Towards the end of his career, Sam was often regarded as a “player-Coach” so this transition is perfect for him. Houston’s team has some great young pieces that could benefit from his ability to connect with them as a former player.
