Darryl-Hmailton-Murdered

Sunday afternoon in Houston, the body of former Major League outfielder and baseball broadcast analyst Darryl Hamilton was discovered at a suburban home. Police believe Hamilton was shot by his girlfriend, 44-year-old Monica Jordan.

Jordan was also found at the home,  dead of an apparent self-inflicted gun wound.

Hamilton’s body was found near the entry of the home with multiple gunshot wounds while Jordan’s body was found in another part of the home, police said.

“At this point it does not appear that there was any kind of struggle. The incident occurred just inside the front door,” police Lieutenant Onesimo Lopez told reporters at the scene.

The couple had a 14-month-old infant who was discovered at the scene unharmed, and is now with Child Protective Services.

The 50-year-old Hamilton was currently an analyst on the MLB network, after spending 13 seasons as an outfielder with the Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies and New York Mets.

Condolences to both the families of Hamilton and Jordan.
