Surprise, Allen Iverson says he doesn’t have enough money for his ex-wife Tawanna’s demand that all his future child support payments be paid up front. AI made over $140 million in his NBA career but now lists his only source of income as his Reebok deal.
AI also says he’s not a dead beat dad and points to the half million in child support he’s already paid this year. I guess it slipped his mind that he had to be sued for a portion of that after the court awarded it to Tawanna. Obviously you can’t get what someone doesn’t have bu sounds as if Tawanna wants the courts to dip into AI’s retirement benefits to load her children’s trust. With his history, it’s understandable.
