Will we hear news about a new athlete-singer couple in the new year? If the rumors are true, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, and singer Kehlani might be the next hook-up.
As with many things these days, some of the clues can be traced to Instagram. The Grammy-nominated singer has been spotted shouting out Kyrie and later changing the caption or deleting the post altogether. In early November, the singer was in Philadelphia at the same time the Cavs were facing the Sixers.
Kehlani also gave Kyrie a shoutout when he returned to the court earlier this month. But she later went back and changed the caption to make sure she included the word “friend”
Kehlani was also at her hometown Warriors’ Christmas day match up against the Cleveland Cavs, she even posted a photo from her seat, but later deleted it.
Of course leaving the photos on the court and a flick with Drake.
Kyrie is a new dad but is currently not involved with his daughter’s mother. Kehlani is touring and just recently dropped a new single, “Did I.” She’s been previously linked to the artist Party Next Door. Busy schedules could be an issue. Time will tell if this “friendship” takes off more, or if someone will be left in the friendzone.
