Adrian Peterson’s 2 year old son in critical condition after allegedly beaten by mother’s boyfriend

It was announced Thursday that Vikings running back Adrian Peterson left the team to attend to a personal situation in South Dakota. Now it’s revealed that Peterson’s two-year-old son is currently in critical condition, after allegedly being beaten by his mother’s boyfriend.

According to law enforcement, emergency responders arrived to the apartment where Peterson’s son was living at 5:46 PM on Wednesday … and found the child unresponsive.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital and medical experts determined the injuries were consistent with abuse.

Police arrested 27-year-old Joseph Patterson and charged him with aggravated felony assault and battery of an infant. Per reports, the relationship is fairly new. She was not at home at the time of the alleged beating.
**UPDATE** The son is not Adrian Peterson jr. that he’s frequently seen photographed with but another son.
