Titus Young’s father Richard says ex-Lion is suffering from brain disorder

Titus-Young

Former Lions WR Titus Young has been arrested three times in the last ten days. It’s clear he’s in some sort of distress. His father is now speaking out about what he believes to be the reason behind his son’s behavior. In an interview with The Detroit News, Richard Young stated that his son has a brain disorder that he hasn’t received treatment for. He also added that he believes his son’s behavior will continue to get worst if he’s not treated.

“He’s not dealing with it the way he should be,” says Richard Young, who couldn’t remember the name of the disorder during the interview. “If the judge [in his recent criminal cases] gives him a court order, then maybe he’ll get the help he needs.”

Young says the disorder is a result of his son’s brain “being compressed into the front of his skull” and added that it may have resulted from a concussion that he sustained during his rookie season with the Lions.

Titus Young allegedly suffered a concussion his rookie year with the Lions but it was never placed on the injury report per Young’s father. He also said that Young has been prescribed medication for his disorder but hasn’t been taking it.

Young was cut by the Lions in February.
