At a charity event Friday night in Sacramento, Mayor Kevin Johnson joked with reigning MVP LeBron James, asking if he would be interested in owning a basketball team.  The crowd erupted in cheers as James and Johnson shared a laugh on stage.  LeBron then joked, “That is how it works?  Randy, you bring my checkbook?”  This light moment came after a week with rumors that the Sacramento Kings are going to possibly be on the move to Seattle.

The charity event was for St. HOPE. A charity devoted to art education to children in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento, where Mayor and former NBA star, Kevin Johnson was raised.
