Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul To Participate In Exhibition Game Hosted By President Obama

Add another exhibition charity game featuring NBA players to your agenda. This one is a little different as it’s for President Obama. A game will be held in D.C. on December 12th with Proceeds going to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising account by the Democratic Party and Obama’s re-election campaign.

Participants include NBA executives as well as players. While being in a lockout forbids contact between players and NBA personnel, the NBA has given the go ahead for this event.

President Obama is an NBA fan. Tuesday night on his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the President shared his thoughts on the NBA lockout. Of course the President was on the side of the fans and cited the recent NFL lockout as a league who got it together for the spectators enjoyment.

ESPN Drops Hank WIlliams Jr. Song From Opening Telecast After He Made Controversal Remarks About President Obama

If you checked out Monday Night Football tonight on ESPN, you’ll notice there was something missing from the opening sequence. The network pulled its traditional Monday Night Football opening song for the Indianapolis-Tampa Bay game following singer Hank Williams Jr.’s comment on Fox News’ Fox & Friends comparing President Obama to Hitler.

Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union & Baron Davis Go Presidential [Photos]

This weekend, several of your favorite Jocks spent time with President Obama. In addition to the Nickleodeon World Day of Play event on Saturday, Dwyane Wade and girlfriend, Gabrielle Union, attended the Congressional Black Caucus Gala Event later that evening. While Baron Davis tweeted a photo of he and President Obama from Sunday.

The Lakers And President Obama Visit A D.C. Boys & Girls Club

Derek Fisher and President Obama

This year’s Laker visit to the White House to meet with President Obama in honor of their title run had a slightly different twist to it.

“Kobe and Derek have been there so often they could lead tours by themselves. Same for Coach Jackson.” - President Obama

It’s true, for the 2nd year in a row and the 4th time since 2000 the Lakers are meeting with The President to honor their title accomplishments in the NBA. But this year, the team and President Obama met up at a local D.C. area Boys & Girls Club to help write and package letters to our troops.

I love the idea of bringing service into this tradition. Especially around the holidays.

Dwyane Wade On The Tonight Show

It’s been a minute since I’ve given you a new world order update. Training camp opens next week so we’ll finally get to see if the hype matches the game. I figured Flash would be a great place to start.

Dwyane wade made his 2nd appearance in 2 months on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He discussed playing basketball with President Obama, Kobe, Lebron & others. The December 2nd game against the Cavs, “we might need an escort out” and Oh yeah and his Bromance with Justin Timberlake :shrug: Just watch!
